Libraries in Our Life

Every person visit library to read or to take books. When I was a little girl I was crazy for reading. And for me library seemed like a secret and magic building and there contained many different books that I can read. Book is a big «door» which can answer on interesting you questions. And library is a place that saves these «doors».

Oh, how it's wonderful to open the book, to fill its old smell. How incredible to read thoughts of author who wrote this book...there are no words to describe all my opinions of reading...but I'll try.

There're many genres of books: drama, novel, detective, fiction, non-fiction, horror, etc. But my favorite one is detective. And I have some books that I prefer in this genre. I've already written about it ... you probably already guessed...if you can't understand what I'm talking about, I will say...it is a series of books about Nancy Drew. If you want to know something about those books, you can read here:  http://katrusyarudenko.blogspot.com/2014/07/hidden-staircase-which-i-ll-tell-you.html#comment-form

OK, let's "finita la commedia"... As for me books are very important...and I can't imagine our life without books. What about you? What genre of books you prefer? It will be very exciting for me to know your interests! Bye! See you soon ^-^

At home I have a lot of books and most of them I like but this article will be about only one author of my favorite book…OK I'm starting at the moment...

I want to introduce you my favorite writer Diana Wynne Jones. She was a British writer, principally of fantasy novels for children and adults.
Born:
16 August 1934
London, England, UK
Died:
           26 March 2011 (aged 76)
Bristol, England, UK

After finishing school in Thaxted, in 1953 she entered the College of St. Anne at Oxford, where she studied English. Jones attended lectures. After completing studies in 1956, she married John Barrow, a specialist in medieval literature. They briefly lived in London, then returned to Oxford, and finally in 1976 moved to Bristol. They had three sons: Richard, Michael and Colin.

Diana Wynne Jones is known for her novel Howl's Moving Castle. And this novel is one of my favorite books.

I read this book first time nearly one year ago. Generally, in the beginning, I watched the anime. But when I found out that there is a book, I begged my Mum to buy it for me. And when she bought it, I immediately started to read it, “swallowing” chapter by chapter.

In 2004 an animated film was released, directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. The film broke box office records in Japan, and was nominated for an Academy
Award for Best Animated Feature.
